It’s been a great summer with a number of outdoor shows in the Metro West area, and also at new club locations, such as Rock In a Hard Place (formerly Classics Lounge in Woonsocket RI) and also at PHATT BOYS newest Harvard Square location. Thanks to all of you for coming out!

Our Latest CD is available both online and at all of our Gigs!

“Just Because I’m Out of Money” is our latest CD release, featuring 18 great sounding tracks! All of the cuts on the CD were written and performed by the band members! (and recorded with a lot of help from Bill Smith at Club 39 Studio in Sudbury – Thanks Bill!). The best way to get one is by coming to any of our shows! You can also order one online with a credit card, or by mailing payment to the band. Go to the CDs link on the left for details about ordering or check out the “Listening Room” to hear two minute clips of any track on the CD. You can also order previously released CDs from members of the band.

The West End Blues Band features blues guitar veteran Jim Atkinson on guitar and vocals, harmonica master Gary Bernath on harmonica, sax, and vocals, Dave Stringham on saxophone, Ray Fisk on bass, and Jim Lavezzo on drums. The band draws its’ sound from the traditional Chicago blues of Little Walter, Muddy Waters, and early James Cotton, combined with the Texas blues styles of Albert Collins & T Bone Walker, all blended with some Jump Blues, West Coast Swing, and a bit of Jazz. The band draws on these roots to write and perform our own blend of new tunes, which you’ll hear at any of our live shows, combined with a bunch of our favorite blues classics.

We’ll also keep updating the site with last minute changes, so check back before you head out. Some Club owners are notorious for last minute changes!
